Yep, good solid bike, alright. And, as newt and Ron pointed out, a bit underpowered.
(...however, the good part of ownership might be that they're also a reasonably nondescript motorcycle, and so the likelihood is very very low of any geezers walkin' up to him and wantin' to bend your friend's ear about that old Yamaha the geezer had back in the day!)
