Well a little sad news. I laid the bike down (the road glide)the other morning on the way to work, (thurs the 23rd of june) Wet pavement on the exit ramp, went down on my right side. Had a half helmet on and a joe rocket coat w armor in it. I'm very luck w my injuries, scrapped knees, minor seperation ofthe right shoulder, it's the side I landed on. But some how I broke my left hand, the bone in the hand that lines up w the ring finger. So typing this all one handed. I had surgery the next day on the hand. Now have a plate and five pins in my hand. Told Lee(the fiance) to watch out for my left hook lol Lee said that we will still go to Sturgis, I've beend told 4-6 weeks to heal. Spoke w the HD dealer this morning, of course the bike rolled once i slide off. So all sheet metal, gas tank, engine guards and mufflers. approx 8100 us dollars. Just waiting to see what the insurance says, If they will fix it or total it. There is no frame damage but the damage is 50% more than what the bike is worth than they might total it. Should know something in a couple of days. So a little sore but could be worst. Was so looking forward to riding w everyone and sharing the news of my engagement. (got the ring off my finger before the emts showed up) Guess just have to wait until next year and will have the finace w. He lives in OK city area right know and is looking to move up here. We meet 3 yrs ago in Sturgis and where friends until this past Jan. when he told me his true feelings for me. Needless to say I felt the same. We got engaged over memorial day weeked. Will be awhile before we set a date. funny how much can happen in a year. Pease ride safe everyone. Ann Marie

Sorry to hear about your stack. Sounds painful but you sound tough. At least it wasn't life threatening. You may be better off getting it written off as I think getting a new bike is always exciting.
Congratulations on the engagement by the way. All the best and a speedy recovery.

It sucks that you weren't there, but good that you're on the mend and will be back on two wheels before long. We had a smaller group this time around, but had just as much fun. Like Rick said, better the bike totaled than you. Maybe they will total it and you can get a triumph!!!

Well that sucks Ann Marie. Sorry to hear that but I'm VERY glad you're OK and happy to hear of your engagement. You're a hell of a gal and Lee is a lucky guy. I missed the rally too this year...unfortunately. I will be sure to be there next year and I hope you too. Talk soon.

May you heal up swift and true. Sorry to hear you went down, but it sounds like you have enough great and wonderful things happening in your life to make up for it! Wishing you the best of all possible outcomes!

Little up date. Road rash on the knees are healing up nicely thanks to neosporin 2-3 times daily. The hand was put in a hard cast last Thursday, the pain of them removing the stitches from my hand hurt, worst than anything else, SOB The hand is healing and doc says things are straight and should be out of the cast on the 21st of july. Than 2 weeks of PT after that. Insurance is paying for the bike to be repaired. All new sheet metal, saddle bags and some other things. Sounds like I will be healed before they get all the painted parts. Everyone have a good riding season AM

Good to hear you're on the mend. You changing anything on the bike, or just back the way she was? Do women call their bikes she?
