I had it's little cousin, the 650R, before getting my America.
They share the same engine, just the suspension is better on the Versys.
The engine is VERY light. A nice twin, very light and narrow bike. Fun to ride, easy to throw into corners, enough power for a 650cc. Will accelerate on par with the big 4's, if not faster out of the curve, but it will be caught and passed on the straights.
Changing the oil is to be experienced, as you might be thinking: "that's all it takes???"
My only gripe: nothing classic about it. Won't be remembered as anything, but it is still a well-balanced bike, and could really shine as a commuter.
