Saturday, April 29 2006 is the date for our Connecticut round up.
Would you guys rather do a Litchfield County ride w/ an option of heading into NY or Mass, or a Connecticut Shorline/River ride?

Hey CTSpeed Mark: any chance of getting a Saturday off?

Benny: What's a good time for you(ferry-wise)?

Looks like we have a lot of interest at this time. Let's hope for ideal weather.

I will be free all day! If we are going to do the shoreline I will pick up Benny at the ferry. If he can get over early, we can meet for breakfast.

Yeah I was thinking doing a couple hours in the morning, a couple in the afternoon after the pizza

Depending on if Mark wants to meet me or just go straight there, but I was kinda thinking, up at 7 or 8, ferry at 8 or 9, CT by 9:30 or 10, depending on the actual ferry times.

You can decide as the time gets closer. We could slab it up to Shari's. She's only about 20 minutes from Bridgeport.

Perfect. We can figure out the details of the ride later. I'm cool with shore/river (puts me towards hartford...) or up towards mass. Couple Triumph dealers we could stop at too. One on Rt 7 and one on Rt 8 right? Either way, it's a short ride to Hartford for me.

I'm planning on going on the 29th. I'd be interested to know what routes you usually cover for the shoreline and Litchfield rides.
Thanks,
Dave

Benny, if you head towards Litchfield via RT.44 there's a Triumph dealer, Canton cycles, in Winsted.

Isn't that also Rt 8? Is that the Victory/BMW/Triumph place?

Benny...I can be on the road by 6:30-7:00...meet you wherever. Traffic will be a breeze at that time. We'll set up the details later.

Sounds good Mark.

Guys, Litchfield county may be a little farther for UncleCharlie, but it would probably be a lot easier for some of the NY guys to get home from there in the evening, and it no big deal for me. Shari, you're the roadmaster. You find the good roads, we'll follow.

we can definitely do a two part ride. I'll work on a couple of possibilities.

It would be great to stop by my local dealer(Libby's MotoWorld). They have recently redesigned the showroom and now have a Triumph room.

Benny, if we do a shoreline/river ride we can get you onto rte 2 or 9 with no problem.

Gettin psyched...

mert(shari)

ps: if we do pizza in new haven it should be a lunch thing. once evening rolls around you have to wait on line at all the great joints. unless of course we get a slew of pies to go and eat in my backyard.

So let's do lunch in new haven at like 1:30 or 2. That way UC can meet up. We could just order a couple large pies and split it or something.

Mert, I working on getting out of work 4/29 (?). I'd really like to ride w/ you folks.

Benny, I'm alot closer to Litchfield than you are. I can just about see the start of rt.7 from my houseboat.

I'll keep watching the posts. Charlie

The demo truck would be great. My BA is the only Triumph I've ever been on.

Saturday is very busy at Canton when the demo truck is there. I went up last year during the week, and got to try every bike! I really wanted to try out a Tiger, but they didn't have one.

I know it's gonna be busy... I guess we could go straight from the ferry up there on the slab to try to get some time in, or we could just take our time and take our chances later in the day. Whatever, no biggie. But that's probably the only chance I'll get to hit the demo truck. then again the demo truck usually takes hours out of the day... whatever, we can decide the day of.

Or you can figure that since, we've already got the best Triumphs (and best bikes for that matter) on the road...we might as well just ride them all day and get a good ride in if the demo truck will take that much time.

Yeah I'm thinkin just ride, stop by Shari's dealer for a half hour break to check out the new showroom and sit on a scrambler or two. And pizza

Mark, not that it's a rush, but I think I know a good meeting point if you want to come on the ferry with me (which is about $25 by the way). It's a commuter lot just off the LIE in Farmingville, see the map here just to get an idea of what kinda ride you would be in for.

Sounds good guys. If Mark can get to me at 8:30, we could catch a 9am boat and be to CT at 10:15. We'll grab a bite on the boat if need be and then we can just ride once we get there till lunch (PIZZA! )

this is sounding great. maybe we could just meet at the ferry dock and ride from there. OR have a couple of meeting spots along the way depending where every one else is coming from and what they're up for.
