Rode or pushed??? Sorry couldn't resist. Hope you had a nice ride. Did you like it? Compared to our bikes?

The dark side is a very strong force. I know a good exorcist should you think you need one.

So, now do you know why you ride a Trumpy???
Otherwise it has been a waste of a day if you didn't learn something.

@Missannies, Didn't get the the luxury to push it, but it wasn't as smooth as my America. Almost like driving a tank, dang it, no that's on the internet, I hope he doesn't read this board.

That was one pretty bike. The quality of the paint and chrome was amazing. Remember when I almost dumped it on the Indian reservation trying to keep up with you guys going 100 plus?

That's one of the many reasons I don't own one. 4 out of 5 of the bikes on the highway are Harleys and none of them handle or are as cool as Triumphs. (Sorry Donny).

I rode a sporster last summer an 05 , it was for sale for 2 grand, i went around the block[gladit was a short block]it rode terrbly uncomfortable.i mean everything was wrong for me 6', to short of pegs, to close to h/b. grips to close together ,,and a jerky bike when shifting , coulda been just the bikes fault but i have to think an 800 lb street glide would do MUCH better .assuming.

Just make sure that you wear shoes with oil resistant soles if you’re going to ride a Harley. That way when it decides to “mark its territory” while stopped at a light you won’t fall over!
Going for the 50's look...

Opinions are opinions!
I say: Twice the engine size, half the handling, a quarter the class.
Guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.
(I've owned four, before I found Triumph, so I believe my opinion is justified)

I suppose I should try out a Dyna some day, since they're supposed to be better than a Softail, but I'm in no rush.

Yeah I can't keep up with him on a Amercia or a Thunderbird. But there a quite a few on this site I can't keep up with. Isn't that right Dave, Mert, Moe, Chy, Greg...on and on?

I could impugn YOUR riding skills.
I thought we were talking about Harleys. People like to change the subject when they don't have a leg to stand on. I don't mind Frank hanging around but he can stop trying to convince us Harleys are superior to Triumphs. I've SEEN bikes as large as a Road Glide tossed around in twisties. So what? Some riders are good enough to transcend the machine. Doesn't mean I want that machine.

I've ridden several Harley's now and the worst one was a V-rod. I felt like I was a sideways letter U. I cannot see how someone could ride that thing over 10 miles. I thought because it was a watercooled v-twin designed by Porsche it would be smooth. No such luck. But they do take a good picture and look mean and lean http://www.flickr.com/photos/havik/5014619237/

When did I say that Harleys were better than Triumphs.
Even though the Dyna I have has got more power, better fuel consumption and suits my purposes better.
I spent a long time trying to justify keeping both, one for local rides with friends and one for 2 up over longer distances.
Being retired on a limited budget I couldn't manage the Extra $1200 a year to do so.
