There are a few things I want to sort out on it but other than putting my touring accessories on it I'm not going to do a thing to it.
Nice, but I'm getting my head around you riding a stock BA. I have an original set of 2002 stock mufflers in the back shed if you're really into it

Good looking all around bike. Nice score.

I was convinced I was going to move my footboards from Bollox to Reboot, but today when I was riding with just the pegs for the first time in, oh, about 9 years, I didn't really mind the pegs. In fact, when I rested my heels on top of the pegs, they were more comfortable than the footboards. I still want to move my rear pegs, though. Definitely.

Very nice FJ. I've often had thoughts of adding an america/speedy as a second bike and going the opposite way with it, one bagger one bobber. Good for you for going out and doing it. Enjoy.

I don't know exactly who made it, if it was Ed or if he had someone do it. It's s nice design but the metal is too thin. The lights vibrate way too much, and these particular lights don't have the swivel underneath so they cannot be adjusted (easily). I'll probably put one of my lightbar brackets on it (which means I need new lights anyway, that I can adjust).

Welcome to back peg world. Nice bike John! Similar story too as when I finished the kitchen remodel I was given the go ahead for a Rocket III. Cinnamon Girl rocked my world though...

That is what I run up front on my America. I like the ride with 880's front and back and besides, I got tired of replacing the Lazertechs.

My tire guy doesn't do Metzlers so I've been running Avons all these years, which are also excellent tires. Glad to finally try Metz's. They handle good so far.

Moved the rear pegs and Windvest over today. I think I'll move the Jim's Spacers over too. I think the Corbin seat and Tsukayu bags will round out the changes before the Kootenay Raid. Still undecided on moving the footboards over.

FWIW, I have floorboards on the Yamaha and I will not put them on the America. I would rather have a set of the mid-pegs that Eddy is selling for long trips, just to give me another option of where to have my feet. I like the pegs on the America.

And I kept thinking, "why did he say I have a lot of free time on my hands?" Finally I got the answer... it's 'cause I keep my bike so clean. That's it, right?
