There is no definitive answer! Depends on where you park it. I do it all. Mostly just put her in neutral, side-stand down, fuel off, key off, lid on saddle, gloves wedged 'tween the speedo and handlebars.
Park at strange hotel or where you can't see it? In gear, steering locked, key out, fuel off etc...
