I have a 2006 speedy and I installed 812 flame series a while back as well as progressive fork springs. I lowered the rear by 1" and kept the front at the standard height. I would have to say doing this was one of the best modifications to do. It greatly improved handling and I love the stance of the bike. The ride height is better and improved even more with a low profile seat although that reduces comfort.
