Anyone set up the luggage rack without the backrest? I did that on my wife's bike (to mount a top box) and wondering if it was safe to do that since there is a gap between the bracket that attaches to the bike and the luggage rack where the back rest went. It's tight, so I don't think it's going anywhere, but wondering if there is a spacer or something I need to get?
