I did the same thing Ed did with his. I loosened all fittings and lined them up measuring equal distance at rear edge from the rear wheel. Tightened it all up when it looked right and even. There is a fair amount of play between all the fittings. The dealer originally mounted my pipes and I immediately noticed one side was about an inch further out than the other. Readjusting fixed that.
