I think Friar is being diplomatic. I suspect that the two members who have had major virus corruption have probably picked up the bug from another site and the timing is coincidental. What have you lads been doing?
If it WAS this site, then there would be many more who were infected with the same major data corruption. That's not to say that there wasn't a virus on the homepage - just probably not the same one that damaged these two computers.
It is the individual's responsibility to have their own security software (or a Mac
). Viruses are rife - often hosted at innocent (naive) sites - and can be innocently passed on - usually by precisely those few who don't bother with security software.
So let's not assume the worst and crucify Friar (yet).
