thanks for all the replys and suggestions. here is what I determined and a possible solution for my problem.
the stock shifter is higher allowing your boot to fit beneath the shifter. the heel toe shifter is definitely not as flexible. there is very little room for toe adjustment.
I checked with Triumph Parts, I thought about going back to the stock shifter, however, at $259 plus for all parts needed, I think I'll figure out something with the existing heel toe shifter!
can't lower floorboard, might be too dangerous on turns. thought about extending floorboard outward an inch, but may have the same issues with turning.
the best solution perhaps is to come up with a small plate the I can raise up the toe shifter an inch. use the existing threaded hole for the shifter to affix the plate, and then mount the shifter in the new threaded hole in the plate.
the plate could be made to look like an extension of the end of the toe shifter plate about an inch to an inch and a quarter long in an oveal shape about .5 inches wide to mimic the contour end of the shifter so it's not too obvious.
for now I'll ride and try to get use to what I have. I'll have to place my foot on an angle between the two shifters.
Thanks again for your input and observations! I'll always welcome any criticism and ideas.
