the shift lever has a slot that limits the up shift and down shift. moving the trans lever a few teeth on the splines looks like it will not buy me anything in movement. I may be able to elongate the slot to allow more movement. I'm just not sure right now.

Neither of mine are like that ('05,'06), in fact there are small witness (punch) marks to show original as assembled position, I can move and reattach them 360 degrees. Are there two variations of the lever? Also my '06 has floorboards, but I noticed the original owner discreetly cut the back half of the heel/toe shifter off, works great.
