My last bike, which I had for 3 years, was a Honda Shadow 750 which had a very smooth and forgiving clutch/gear change system. UK based so no California emissions equip. This problem has been since the get/go so I guess the dealer needs to rectify as it spoils what otherwise is a fun ride.

Alan if you can run to a set of new pipes, you'll have a different bike...much more responsive in all sorts of ways. It may or may not cure the stalling but if it doesnt it makes it far easier to live with.(personally I stick with my theory and think the problem is aggravated by the EFI setup giving a somewhat abrupt throttle response compared with a carb setup)
