I bought a 2nd hand Rivco stand from a fellow BA.com reader a while ago. It was easy to fit and I've got nothing but praise for the quality and it certainly appears strong enough for a bike of TBA or Speedie proportions. It comes with a webbing strap to grab & haul the bike up onto the stand but I have found by grabbing the rear fender rack is just as convenient for the same job. I haven't managed to grind out the centre-stand yet but then again I'm a pretty passive rider. Centre stands make for very convenient & easy chain servicing but one interesting thing about the stand was that when I went to remove the rear wheel for a tyre change, the Rivco stand was not high enough for the rear wheel to clear the guard. I would be interested if any readers are able to remove a wheel from a standard rear fender using the Norman Hyde stand?
