I very rarely ever use my fork lock (it does work). I have a disc lock, but haven't used it in more than 3 years. With my bike being over 9 years old I am not really worried about someone stealing it. Plus if they really wanted to steal the bike a fork lock or even disc lock won't stop them. It might slow them down but only for a little bit.
