Tequila!? I've been enjoying a bit of that myself this eve!!
Wanna thank everyone again for chiming in here with all your good wishes... means a lot to me. I heard from most of the regulars here except for a certain voice from Texas but then again, at least SOME things remain constant in this crazy world!!!
Here's how my day went. I started the day with a cup of "coffee snob" coffee... the undisputed best-cup-o'-coffee-this-side-of-the-Canadian Rockies." And with that cup o' joe I ran an early check of my email only to find birthday greetings from my Son in the form of a video of son, wife and daughter (my granddaughter) singing Happy Birthday to good ol' Pops!!! (see below for a link to that video)
Well if THAT don't set the mood for the rest of the day nothing else will so, after a bit of breakfast along with a second cup o' the undisputed best-cup-o'-coffee-this-side-of-the-Canadian Rockies I set out to preen my bike under broody skies of heavily laden grey-blue clouds lingering in and amongst the mountain tops around me. Rain threatened as I ran the course of detailing my machine from stem to stern, yet the ground remained dry throughout the entire exercise. With a watchful eye I dawned gear and helmet and headed out in spite of the looming doom and off I went... not far, but just enough to answer the call to ride and feel the open road.
So the ride happened... and I got back just before the deluge and I felt glad to be home dry and safe, and happy it turned out as good as it did! And so the afternoon turned to evening, and in the wake of a day of overall contentment I became host to friends who in their infinite care and compassion, joined me at my place for food, drink, laughter and song as we filled the evening spirited refrain!!
So... that in a nutshell was my day. Add to that all the super cool vibrations from you guys and you got a day that was pretty amazing!!! I gotta say... life is good!! Thank you one and all.
My son and family singing Happy Birthday.
