When we were in grade school there was a little cheese factory right next door with a pen of black and tan hound dogs that went ballistic whenever you walked by. Anyhow they would give away little sacks of fresh cheese curd for the asking. Somewhere along the way (whey), it was discovered that people would pay serious money for fresh curd. Now curd costs as much or more as aged cheddar. Life isn't fair. I blame the same people that pay exhorbitant prices for simple motorcycles. Gotta blame somebody, it's snowing again .
