Maybe, I no comprehende, but if you didn't remove the cables, how could they be twisted, maybe you should be checking the adjustments at the throttle grip? too tight on one or both will cause grief, such as the carb return spring will be unable to overcome the tension. The throttle should be snapping back on its own from W.O.T. position. A little loose is where I found them to work
