Twenty or more years ago, chicken wings started to become popular here. Two bars in town, "The Elbow Room" and "The Four Kegs" had the best by far . They weren't called Buffalo wings, but did use the Durkee-Franks Red Hot sauce-in butter formula. .
Wings, to me, will always be a bar food made to be eaten in large quantities while drinking appropriate amounts of beer.
