Well, other than Soren's idea, there's a fellas in Texas who goes by "GrandPaulZ"(I think it's the same guy who is a regular on the cycleworld.com forums) who according to this link on the Triumphrat.net forum appears to know a little somethin' about this...though in the case of this link, he answers a question posed to him about a '68 Bonnie's decal placement....
