Out for a short ride this afternoon before the predicted rain and after a long weekend of riding(here in Canada) to warm up the chain so I could give it a good lubing when I came up to a corner and spied a Caspian Blue America coming in a perpendicular direction about to turn the corner in front of me. That colour is as sweet as the pictures that appeared on members rides recently. I thought maybe the photos had been enhanced but that is the True Blue.

That IS one of the most BEAUTIFUL blues I've ever seen. Another is the original blue of the '72 H2's.
And you may see me tonight

I know I've told ya this before Mike, but if they would've had that paint color for the 2002 models when I bought my Cardinal Red BA in late 2001, my sales order and receipt from South Bay Triumph of Lomita CA would've read one Triumph Bonneville America in Caspian Blue, instead! (...btw, I gotta ask...at that 11,312 ft in elevation there, did that beautiful carburetor-equipped Triumph o' yours feel like it had maybe 30bhp TOPS when ya got there???)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Naw, I just stop at the bottom of the pass and rejet. Then, when I get down the other side I switch 'em back.

Was that 'perpendicular' as in coming from heaven? Maybe that rapture guy was only a couple days out.

I'd have to say that Caspian Blue truly is the most beautiful color produced to date. But then again.... I'm prejudiced too. If it was my Caspian that you were talkin' about in the Member's Ride area, it definitely wasn't doctored. You should see her in full on sun! It's like she glows!

Oh yah, that would be the one and it is just as bright as the one I saw today, no doctoring needed.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

I do like the color.
I cant say I've ever seen one on the road ...but the colour looks pretty near the same as one of my Guzzi Californias I used to run- and I remember going to see that particular bike and just knowing I was going to buy it on the colour alone....... I'm seriously thinking about getting my 010 TBA(EFI) sprayed in this scheme...looks like you could almost cut yourself a slice of that there bike.

Thanks all for the kind words!! I think I'm gonna get some pics ready to submit for front page... unless these will do. Not too sure. What's great about this color (and a few other things) that keeps me from wanting to get a new America is they don't make her in this color anymore. If I was to buy a new bike, I'd have to hunt down another '03 or so in Caspian Blue with less miles. JohnyBGood: The tires are Dunlop K177 120/90/18 and Dunlop K555 150/80/15. Here are the two threads that will get ya started on making them fit: The thread that started it allThe Tech Vault Thread

Trust me... you'll love 'em! I can't believe how many "googly eyes" and double takes I get from other bikers and cagers alike.
