bridgestone spitfires, I get about 12000 out of each set, and am hell on them. They handle anything our bikes will without breaking the bank.

With Spitfire rear tires, when in the apex of a turn, the bike gets unsettled when narrowing the chicken strips. Tried a rear spitfire a second time too. The front spits handle fine.

Rear tires for Cinnamon Girl
Install date,
4/29/09, Spitfire installed lasted 11,032 miles
11/27/09, ME880 installed lasted 14,421
2/5/11, Spitfire installed currently at 10,123 miles. Looking for cord to show anytime.

Front tires, CG
4/19/09, Spitfire lasted 16,099 miles
8/22/10, Spitfire lasted 13,093 (had at least 2k to 3k left on tread, changed out for SWTF roll)
5/21/11, Spitfire currently has 6,541. Side note tire was installed at an odo reading of 66,666 Damien likes it hey mikey!

Point? The front spit handles fine and almost invokes the good old days when one would change the front tire at every other rear tire changeout... The rear? Nice tire, just not my taste.

P.S.: The last rear me880 on Vera Lynn lasted only 7,778 miles. Why did Cinnamon girls last rear me880 last 14,421 miles? Worn clutch on my Nor-East Rally via Montana roll last year caused me to accelerate slowly from stops. Major difference in tire life when riding like a fat n happy laid back I don't care about straight line g's individual. What's that saying? Stretching the throttle cables?
