Yes Keith I did consider the R3.
The nearest ones I could find for sale at the right price were in Brisbane which is 400 Klms. away. When our Harley / Triumph dealership came under new ownership 3 months ago, Harley told the new owners that they had to dump Triumph or loose the Harley dealership.

Bundaberg where I live isn't a very big town and there is no way a stand alone Triumph dealership would survive.

Harleys are so entrenched in the cruiser market here it was the only way to go.

Although it is a lot heavier than the Speedy, I find it is in fact easier to ride.

And being only 5'5" my feet are nearly flat on the ground. Where as on the Speedy riding 2 up was a struggle everytime we came to a stop.

And the power is unbelievable.
