My no lube thing was unintentional at first since the breather on my old Triumphs used to oil it for me I wouldn't think of it on my new bike. Then Big Bill got me thinking when he said he wondered what the outcome would be with no lube so I didn't lube my chain the rest of the time on my bike. When I say 23,000 miles out of it, that is when I changed it not when I would have had to change it.That chain could have easily gone several thousand more miles but I decided to change it when I started to have to adjust it more often. The sprockets also with no lube ( you are welcome from Captain Obvious
) were in very good shape, rear showed no visible wear and the front was very slightly worn, far from worn out.
