Doesn't the solvent in the "kerosene" cleaner also eat out the lubricant in the 'o' rings?
I thought the purpose of lubing an 'o' ring chain was to reduce friction between the sprockets and the chain. Cleaning the chain was to remove the dirt build up that was caused by crap sticking to the lubricated moving parts. Because chains are cheaper than sprockets!
Or maybe I just need to understand.
