Bike Club France summer 2011 tour is to the eastern side of the Pyrenees.
The dates are around the the end of June/ beginning of July (due to the harshness of night temperatures at altitudes).
The plan is to have a basecamp* style tour, the basecamp being at Ax les Thermes. Possible touring to - Andorra, Spain, the spanish resort of Roses, Carcassonne, Parc Naturel del Cadi-Moixero.
The week commencing 27 June, is now 'penciled in', but must add that, this will be 'weather depending'; (whereas we must expect different and changeable weather in the mountains, we go with a generally fine looking outlook/forecast)
* Basecamp tours are very accommodating for everyone. The basecamp is where we set up camp for the duration of the tour. There will be various touring from there; halfway, full day, and two day for the adventurous. So you can come along for 'extensive' touring of the area, or just put your feet up in one of those spas, or just tourist about on your own. The choice is yours.
Please contribute your name, and input to this thread if you are interested in coming. It would be nice to have more cruisers.
