Even if you never use the Tuning features, it's a must-have just for the Diagnostics alone - and of course there are no Diags with PC3!
Incidentally my Laptop screen took a dump and I purchased an Asus Notebook off Woot for $185 shipped!
It was factory refurb (designated anyway) however looked brand new, plastics still on the case & screen and pre-loaded with operating system at that price too!
That is all that is required to use it.
So even with purchase of an inexpensive Notebook plus cable, still waaaay less expensive that TuneBoy or PC3.
