The America sounds different/better with different crank timing. I like the T-100 and I'd love to add a black SE to the stable, but the engine feels buzzier to me. IIRC the bonnie is technically smoother and a touch more powerful, maybe just at the high end.
In the end, you can't go wrong with a Triumph vertical twin. Buy what you want. Don't second guess yourself later.
