just a thought about the pipes turning brown, it is possible to induce rust into 300 series stainless steel. The most likely way to have this happen is to apply steel wool to the once nice stainless pipes. This would result in a brown discoloration.
FWIW, my scepters have approx 25,000 miles on them and they are just starting to be a uniform gold color. they used to be gold at the transition from the header but now it is across the whole pipe. I kind of like it and am not doing anything about it.
nope, never hit them with anything abrasive. the gold i could deal with, the brown, not so much. so here is my latest. jet-hot can coat the inside of the pipes; but not with the baffles in (so yeah i found out the baffles are two stage) so i need to find somewhere near me that can re-rivet the baffles back in after the coating. any ideas on what industry i would even start to look at for industrial riveting?
