I too thought after-the-post that now gives you four different current load conditions to measure voltage under - added bonus I think.
Not absolutley sure where your voltage tap is right now - if on the Blue/Yellow wire, then voltmeter will read for both lights on & off when you move to the new relay. I guess I thought it was on the output side. It will also indicate the voltage while cranking of course. So there's 5 load conditions! 
So yeah, sounds like good plan.
