Just purchased the chrome chain guard but I can't remove the screw (engine end of guard)off the old guard. The 6mm hex spanner is too small and a 7mm hex is too large. I have an assortment of metric and AF (Imperial) hex spanners but none of them fit. Went to the local ironmongers and he tried several without success. I find this weird. Any help here guys?

BTW I fitted a huge ammount of accessories on my last bike, a Honda Shadow with no problems at all. So this is very weird!
