Have done quite a few over the years. Don't know if it applies in the states but in OZ you have to be quite careful as in the large ones riders will weave in and out at speed and travel very close to the rider in front. Not many do this but enough to make it dangerous and have seen some nasty pileups though stupidity. I always hang to the back and give myself enough room to manouvere if things go pear shaped in front of me. Sure that some riders think of it as a challenge to be in the first 10 and do not seem to realise or care what happens to the riders they cut in on etc
