I just read this. I think you did the right thing,not that my opinion matters, and am sure your son learned a valuable lesson. I had a simmilar experince,and you got off CHEAP. Dosent change a thing, I'd do it again. I think your son learned responsibalty over this, and that he is your #1 concern.
You might try to convince him to do as you say, not to do as you do!
