ModelMaker, i wasn't chastising anybody, i was only asking why...all i was expecting was good luck wishes not unamimous endorsement...i felt it would be in keeping with the spirit of this group. it wasn't cheers and atta boys that i was after...

you also don't know the whole situation, so it's easy to make suggestions as to what i 'shoulda done' according to you...i live in a small town that has no police...the nearest RCMP detachment is 30 minutes away, IF they are able to respond immediately...the drunks and rednecks in this town know that...that's why they drink and drive, run around the streets on quads and snowmobiles at all hours of the night...the town's only gas station, coffee shop and grocery store has closed because 300 people couldn't or wouldn't support it as a local business providing needed services...but guess what? the bar is still going strong!!!

so, while my kid's being given booze and drugs by other kids whose parents think this is an OK way to keep them busy on a Friday night, i should call the cops and wait for 30 minutes ...most likely hours? ...f**k that noise...i'll go get him, and woe to anyone who stands in my way, or mouths me off while i'm doing it...

you're right about the rat's a$$...i don't need your approval...if you're ever in that situation, you handle it your way...i WAS in that situation, and i handled it my way...it's like combat...you never know how you'll react til you're there...
