Has anyone tried one of these Helmet Lok?
And can you tell me why it is better than this cheap lock?
The Helmet Lok does not appear to be made of hardened steel and that's a big price difference.

A screwdriver used as a pry-bar could open either lok er lock easily enough. Probably scratch whatever the lock is around too. Motorsickles are like cage convertibles. You cannot really lock anything up on/in either. Doing so gets you damaged areas around the lock or slashed tops.

Arai helmets? Seems to me you can afford the theft.

HJC flip face? After one summer I kinda want someone to pinch it.

The saddle bags and tool pouch hold the good stuff anyways. Now me jacket is another thing. Easiest to carry/wear it. Cable loop locks I've used. Yet what to do with all the stuff in that jacket which is a defacto male purse?

Yes locks keep honest men honest. But they won't stop a thief who is eyeing your $800 lid...And chances are you'll have one of those pry-bars (screwdrivers) in your unlocked saddle bag to expedite the theft.

Given the above, the Helmet Lok looks like a decent product. One that should keep your lid from walking away for those so inclined.
