water boarding is quite brilliant. Here we have to interrogate terrorist who WANT to die for their cause. Water boarding gets us the information without giving them virgins, without so much as ripping off a single fingernail, breaking a single bone. Now exactly where is the horrible disfiguring torture?
Now back to the Allah's turd. We should have taken him alive. Then reenacted that scene from Hannibal where he gets tossed into a pig pen with at least one ravished pig.

I suppose it was a good result.
I'm not saying the USA did the wrong thing but basically it should have been carried out, no video evidence, no witnesses left, destroy the building in a fire and no more said. They should have made it look like a house fire or gas explosion, same end result without the questionss.
There is now more speculation as to what went on, who was there, who got shot, who survived did he die a hero or a coward.
So now the the US government has to reveal exactly what happened and the subsequent sh**storm that will undoubtedly follow.
Big moral question though - apparently there were some of his kids in the compound - shoot them too? After all, the dead tell no tales.
I'd say to the US munitions industry, better get busy because there is gonna be a big demand for bullets, bombs and missiles in the aftermath of this.
One rag down.......many many more to come.
Before the war on terror, if I saw an unattended package I used to think "I'll be having that!"

Actually, every real intelligence analyst I've heard speak said that, while that is certainly one possibility, it is far more likely that they are going to go to ground for some time. Those folks were pretty afraid of US Special Forces before. It's safe to say they are more afraid now.

I'm guessing the mission parameters (assuming it all went down roughly as advertised) were:
1-kill or capture OBL (preferably kill) 2-verify DNA 3-gather any and all intel onsite 4-destroy all traces of his existence 5-get on with life
No pomp and circumstance, minimal showboating. No carrier speeches with giant banners. Get back to business back at home.
Tidy.

If they had brought him in alive, wouldn't they have been compelled to read him his Miranda Rights, try him in New York and provide him an ACLU attorney? Isn't that Holder's position? Would have been a recruiting bonanza. Much better that it's over and I agree, organized terrorists worldwide will go to ground, but we may still see a few independents act out.

IMHO the issue of kill vs capture boils down to the liklihood that were OBL allowed to live, it would have led to numerous hostage situations world wide in an attempt to gain his release. Therefore his death has saved many from that particular fate. And anyway, revenge is a dish best served cold. ;-)

Yeah, like he would have let them take him alive.... But, I'll see your Ground Zero and raise you JFK Airport in NYC. If the rudeness of the people there, and the absolute clusterf**k of an airport doesn't send him to the looney bin clawing his eyes out, then you can have him for whatever you want...

By the way, I think I scraped something brown and smelly from KC off of my boots last time I was through there, want it back?

Yeah, but look on the BRIGHT side here, John! The chances of THAT guy bein' enticed to strap on some explosive device, walk into some public area and detonate it WITH the promise that 72 virgins are waitin' for him in The Hereafter, are pretty much nil I'd say!!!

This seems like the appropriate time for this joke:
After his death, Osama bin Laden went to heaven. There he was greeted by George Washington, who proceeded to slap him across the face and yell at him, "How dare you try to destroy the nation I helped conceive!" Patrick Henry approached and punched Osama in the nose and shouted, "You wanted to end our liberties but you failed." James Madison entered, kicked Osama and said, "This is why I allowed our government to provide for the common defense!" Thomas Jefferson came in and proceeded to beat Osama many times with a long cane and said, "It was evil men like you that provided me the inspiration to pen the Declaration of Independence!". These beatings and thrashings continued as John Rudolph, James Monroe and 66 other early Americans came in and unleashed their anger on the terrorist leader. As Osama lay bleeding and writhing in unbearable pain an Angel appeared. Bin Laden wept in pain and said to the Angel, "This is not what you promised me." The Angel replied, "I told you there would be 72 Virginians waiting for you in heaven. What did you think I said?"

Heck, I'm ok with soil and stuff, I just need some non-stop warm sunny days to get my pathetic tomatoes and peppers moving. They're about 4 weeks old and maybe an 2 inches high!!

Alright guys. Conflicting media stories. Apparently congress looked at faked pics. Former presidents will not appear with our present one. Something is amiss.

The other OBL drink is called "Lead Poisoning." The CIA has the ingredients but they haven't decided whether or not to release them to the public.

That's an old South African one from the Apartheid years.
They'd put up a list of dead prisoners/activists and the causes of death that looked something like this:
Mr. A - 3/20/1972 - Heart Attack. Mr. B - 4/17/1971 - Lung Cancer. Mr. C - 5/22/1970 - Severe Lead Poisoning. Mr. D - 5/22/1970 - Severe Lead Poisoning. Mr. E - 5/22/1970 - Severe Lead Poisoning. Mr. F - 5/22/1970 - Severe Lead Poisoning. Mr. G - 4/12/1973 - Heart Attack. Mr. H - 7/15/1972 - Emphesima. Mr. I - 4/12/1971 - Heart Attack. Mr. J - 8/19/1971 - Severe Lead Poisoning. Mr. K - 8/19/1971 - Severe Lead Poisoning. Mr. L - 8/19/1971 - Severe Lead Poisoning. Mr. M - 9/22/1974 - Respiratory failure (waterboarding?). Mr. N - 7/12/1972 - Stomach Cancer. Mr. O - 3/21/1971 - Severe Lead Poisoning.
Something like that anyway, no kidding!

Yeah John, however, I have a feelin' this CIA strategy might actually work against the interests of our country in the long-term!
Uh huh, ya see, the way I'm thinkin' o' this, maybe one of the key reasons those terrorist out there are sooooo friggin' stupid and backward is 'cause maybe back when they were little terrorists-to-be, they might've been eatin' paint chips with lead in it, and so that lead poisoning led to 'em growin' up to BE that stupid and backward as adults.
And so, maybe if INSTEAD of hoarding this bit of information, the CIA would spread the word and enlighten those forks that THIS might've been the cause of much of that stupidity and backwardness, then MAYBE the next generation of those folks might NOT be as much like that.
But, yeah, I suppose my idea here is all predicated on the possibility that those terrorists are open to the idea of modern scientific thought about Chemistry and Physiology, and NOT JUST what their "Holy Book" tells 'em is "true", which seems a VERY remote possibility at this time.
(...so yeah, maybe the CIA knows what they're doin' after all, huh?!)

In some cases it could be all three, but for the most part (How does the song go? "Two outta three aint bad".)

Yep Chad, and ironically THAT'S one of the reasons for Number-1 there...'Mericans are eatin' WAY too much "meatloaf", and not enough vegetables!!!

Sure, as long as you are a middle eastern male between 18 and 35 with a one way ticket and wearing a bulky looking jacket. If you're a 6 year old blond kid, a 75 year old nun or a 40ish WASP businessman expect to be fondled, xrayed and all your stuff dumped out. Can't be profiling you know, that's worse than being killed.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
