It'll be hard to say they were anykind of buddies. Obama did give the order to shoot the guy. Besides don't forget the theory that the Binladins and Bush the latter were buddies. That would mean the Bush family and the Obamas would also be buddies at least by proxy. Neither side want that association made.
I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.
