They didn't notify ANYONE!, Ill bet there wasn't more than 100 people who knew what was going on. This was the best shot at getting this deush bag, they wouldn't risk a leak.... Kudos to every one involved, and i hope at least for a few seconds he knew it was coming!

I think more than 100 folks knew about this. It's been reported that we suspected OBL was there since Aug 2010. We even built a replica of the compound to practise the raid.
No suprise, the mastermind of the Bali terrorist attacks was captured in the same town.

David Letterman's Top Ten List of Osama Bin Laden's final words: ________________________________________________________
10. “My horoscope says big surprises are in store.”
9. “See, this is why I normally don’t answer the door.”
8. “The one time I give my bodyguards a day off to go to the zoo…”
7. “What on Earth could be interrupting Celebrity Apprentice?”
6. “I hear Brian Williams is on Dave to discuss my imminent demise.”
5. “At least I’ll be reunited with my dear, departed friend Jack Lalane.” (Letterman, in an aside: “Did you know they knew each other?”)
4. “I’m not sure I want to live in a world where Fast Five is the #1 movie.”
3. “Any man with multiple wives welcomes death. Am I right, fellas?”
2. “I need a house full of navy SEALs like I need a hole in the head.”
1. “Oh, crap!”

We have one already. The wife that got shot. I bet there is a good one in there some where. Also the media stories that don't quite seem to match up.

Right, well I could have said the media stories that don't seem to "jive",or correlate. Or even said the ever changing media story. I decided to keep it elementary instead. Sorry Dwight I was not trying to insult anyones intellect. I could have gone with ya know Dano the stories don't seem to match up. To add the TV cop affect.

Yeah, don't worry Chad. I certainly didn't think that you were attempting to "insult anyone's intellect" there, and so you can rest assured that I didn't take any offense to that.

Well then, I guess you never caught any of my appearances on the 5 game shows I was on as a contestant over the years, huh?!(true)
Btw, here's ya a little game show trivia you might not know then, Chad.
Osama bin Laden was once on "The Dating Game", but of course the little cutie bachelorette didn't pick him 'cause after she asked him, "I'm a little bunny rabbit. What kind of animal are you?", she became rather "turned off" when his reply was, "DIE INFIDEL, DIE!"!!!

Even that don't really matter. Everyone get two terms now days right wrong or indifferent. This is going to be a fun campaign season though. There should be lots of comic material produced.

Yeah John, and apparently it's already started, too!
It seems they found Osama bin Laden's birth certificate(speakin' o' "birth certificates"), and it turns out bin Laden was born in Cairo!
Nope! Not Cairo Egypt...Cairo ILLINOIS!!!!

It'll be hard to say they were anykind of buddies. Obama did give the order to shoot the guy. Besides don't forget the theory that the Binladins and Bush the latter were buddies. That would mean the Bush family and the Obamas would also be buddies at least by proxy. Neither side want that association made.

The Bushes and Bin Ladens isn't a theory, it's a fact. It's not politics, it's business. You'd think 9/11 would trump (ahem) business but perhaps not. That doesn't explain the failed attempts to get bin Laden before 2001, but perhaps it does in the intervening years.

I am very pleased t the way it was done. Through this whole ugly ordeal the US had admittedly caused many unnecessary civilian deaths (and I am a former US Naval aviator). Bush, Jr. once had a restaurant blown up trying to kill Saddam. He wasn't there but many civilians died. This strike got the target with minimal collateral damage and the SEALs got away clean. On a side note, my sister (now retired USN Captain) was the first female member of SEAL Team Six. Obviously, she was not a SEAL, she was their supply officer. It seems, so far, that current military guidelines are taking the civilian population into consideration moreso than in the recent past.

Tom Donilon, the National Security Advisor, stated at a press conference that the claims of information leading to the discovery of Osama Bin Laden bring obtained by 'advanced interrogation techniques' were false. It was just a political ploy trying to credit Bush and torture where no credit was due.
