Around here we have burros. Not only are these critters stupid, they're tough!! A friend hit one with his Ford pickup at about thirty mph. Busted the grill, radiator, a/c condenser,bent the fan, and tore the trans cooler lines loose. Burro got up, kicked the pickup, and walked off  .
Honking at them just tends to pis them off, so I stay back until they move out of the way and haul arse around them  .
Jackrabbits are another hazard, as they just jump in front of you and stop.
Q. Why did the chicken cross the road?
A. To show the jackrabbit that it could be done.
