I forgot the big downside to rain gear ... Unless it's cold (a rare thing here) I find it's really easy to sweat profusely with the rain suits on then you're soaked anyway!
Not so Friar's Frogg Toggs, Richard. I swear by 'em too! I used 'em during my ride through Europe a couple years ago, and because they're made of "breathable" material, I never felt "sticky" while I had 'em on, even after the sun would come out and it stopped raining and it warmed up.
(...and like FJ said, they pack up in a very nice and easily stowable little bag!)
