I commute rain or shine. But I live close to work so it's not a major issue. I usually just get wet rather than the hassle of getting in and out of rain gear.

FWIW: I prefer 2-piece to 1-piece suits - the latter are trickier to get on and off and I get impatient with them. I'll wear my full face helmet (instead of my open face helmet) if I know it's going to rain. I haven't tried really expensive rain gear but the medium priced stuff doesn't seem very durable - especially with the zips. I keep getting the plastic jammed in the zip.
