This whole counter-steering thing is a bit over-stated, IMO. It's a relatively new term used to explain something that just comes naturally... instinctively. Back in the day, before the term was invented the idea of steering a bike wasn't even a 'thing.' I mean there I was back in the '50s learning how to ride a bicycle and no one had to explain how to steer it. I wanted to turn, and the bike turned... at any speed.
Just an observation.
