I do believe it is the little arm that is scraping. I looked at a little tonight, but with the rain I didn't want to pull it all the way out and if you all saw the narrow bit of garage my bike is parked in, well, you'd probably smack me.
The spring does seem to pull it up tight to the frame, so next time I get to ride (hopefully Sunday) I'll try to take a couple turns in an open lot so I can glance down without worrying about running into something.
