Hey Bruce, I can answer the first part but not the second. I have these Rivco Risers fitted with Speedy bars on my America. They give me the same height and pullback as the America bars but obviously with the narrower speedy width.

I find them very comfortable. I am 5' 9". I have a frozen left shoulder that doesn't want to move out and forwards so that's why I changed to this set-up.

I can't answer whether speedy cables will work with these risers (but perhaps Eddy will comment). I do know that I have plenty of spare cable length with the America cables - nearly too much extra length.
