as far as performance, I ran against my friend's Night Train from a rolling start when we were just putting along. He had a big bore kit and a 6 speed trans as well as a Dyno Tune slider for his injection. For the short run we had I was slowly pulling ahead of him. I only have open exhaust, rejetted carbs, crossover pipe cut out, and pod filters.I run the 16 tooth front sprocket and 42 rear. He would probably have me in the top end. I too like some of the old HDs but for me , for every HD I like there is a Triumph I like better. Like I would love to have a Knuckle but I would trade one for a 30s Speedtwin. So if you want a HD that's great but do it because that is what you want not from a lame performance excuse.
