Quote: The 883 is a small light bike. You would have to do the same to get what he has from a harley. It would be nice if they made a big bore kit for ours that was a jug, head, pistons, and wrist pins. Instead of that bore and sleeve mess.
I still think this may be a cheaper way of getting what you are looking for.
989cc - 10.5:1 compression 92mm bore kit designed for all Triumph powered twins post 2001 for street application. This kit requires the following engine modifications and components: BP 989 Piston kit Barnett Clutch and Spring Kit Bore & Sleeve factory Cylinders BP MLS Gasket kit Remove Crankshaft Counter Balancers install Dynamically balanced Stroke Crankshaft 6mm Carrillo Rods 989cc - stroker 88-94 hp 70 - 74 ft lbs.*
Not that what I say matters at all.
I see where your going but lets look at this money wise,
Harley 883 £4800 on a 2007 plate Triumph £3500 trade in 2005 plate
I got a mate who has pistons and sleeves = free, so gaskets and bore = £ 150 (est)
I just got a cheap kit for the Triumph to get to 904 and that came in at £600 (I fitted it)
The money argument falls down.. Tomorrow I ride the 883 that Im interested in, also going to take a ride on my mates hacked 1200 to compare.
