Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems we could easily drill small holes near the bottom of the front forks, tap them and insert a screw/bleeder nipple with an o-ring on it to make our own fork oil drain holes, like pretty much every other bike in the world has? Am I off or what? Anyone try it? Of course it would have to be in exactly the right sopt, but that should not be too hard to figure out either. Geez, someone send me an old bent fork and I'll try it.

I was thinking the same thing Pat. What the hell were the engineers thinking when they designed these things? No fork drains???? Come on guys. Let us know if you get a fork and have any success.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger......and then it hit me.

That would be SWEET! Someone mentioned using the damper rod hole or something that I'm not familiar with. I think you would still have to remove the axle to get to it. A drain plug would be super sweet! Just pop off the cap, and crack it open. HEY! We could even put speed bleeders in

How often are you planning on changing fork oil ? It ain't that hard to take the wheel off and get that damper plug out. Anyways , it is really easy after the first time you do it.

If I take that damper plug out, will anything else fall out with it other than the fork oil?

Yea, but it would be so much easier and safer to just pump the front end down like I have always done with other bikes. Not that I need to swap oil every weekend, maybe every other if I could though. It would be nice to be able to speriment with different viscosities this way as well. I would just like it to be easier.

Me too. IMO, the stock suspension units really suck, in almost every aspect...

I guess it's just a matter of the subjective nature of whats a PITA and what isn't. Me, removing the wheel and forks, o even just the wheel, is a huge PITA. I hate it, and in fact have to remove the wheel and forks this weekend and i'm not looking forward to it having just done it 2 weeks ago. (putting orig. shrouds back on) Why in god's name they didn't put drain plugs on them is beyond me. A simple plug vs wheel and fork removal......no brainer.
