Went out for a run on the bike today, down some off the beaten track roads. Found some things of interest less than 20 minutes from the house that I never knew existed. [image] [/image] [image] [/image] [image] [/image] [image] [/image] Falls Of Feugh Ok I knew about this, but it makes a bonnie pic. Nice. New discoveries are the best thing about riding off the beaten path.

It does me good to be reminded how beautiful Scotland can be Slightly OT and a bit further than 20 mins, but did you know that there are some ancient pit house remains not far from Carnoustie?

That is very cool. It's always eye opening to remember how brief our recorded history is here in the US. The waterfall looks a lot like my neck of the woods.

Beautiful shots of some beautiful countryside there, Colin! (...btw, what do you suppose the changes are that Scotland right now would have better ridin' weather than Arizona?...I only ask this 'cause...IT'S BEEN SNOWIN' ALL DAY HERE IN PRESCOTT!!!!!!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

My second look. Stone emplacements from 1800B.C. with utility lines in the background. Brain freeze.

Go on Bodger, pronounce that plaque's title for us then - thems are words and combinations of consonants that I never knew before.
And Dwight gets upset by a redundant 'U' now and then - he'll be speechless with this one.

I can see the translation: Remember the Day of Corrichie ... but I don't see any word coming close to Corrichie there !?!
BTW: Really enjoyed sharing your local scenery with you. Thanks.
