My son will turn 21 this year and I cannot believe how quickly the time has gone. My parents always told me that time gets faster as you age...now I sound like my parents...Right there with you...

My youngest will be 18 soon. She is spending the week on a school trip in Spain. Her older sister is off at college (20) and so my wife and I are enjoying a temporarily empty nest. We still like each other after almost 24 years of marriage; how cool is that.

Happy Birthday Locopony Junior

Is he old enough to drink?

My daughter turned 16 this year, and that still taking some getting used to, I'm far too young to have a kid that old!

Stay young with your rock'n rollin' .

I do a voluntary spot at a community radio station every friday night in a small country town , population 10,000.
When I'm in the studio doing my show I don't feel that I'm 56 years old , I'm 18 again and rockin' on.

My youngest turned 20 last week. My oldest will be 30 on the 16th and I have a 24 year old in the middle. Can't understand it. I still feel like I'm only 30 sometimes.

My oldest is 33 this year, and I feel younger than that! My 90 year old Mother confirms that we never grow old within. I believe her... that's been my experience!!

Well, my oldest will be 42 in 22 days. I still feel that young and sure don't act that old....

That is great, could be a new topic, "What do you do to feel young?" Aside from the obvious of riding...I always like going to a baseball game, reminds me of my youth.

Its kind of odd when I was 18 I had no plans of being a father and now my son is 18. It don't seem that long ago that he was born.

Thanks guys, I feel young! My oldest is only 9.

(but I did get a late start. I was 34 when she was born. So I am probably closer in age to those with 18 year old kids.)

Nineteen, 22, and 24 (and I started after 30 as well). My wife and I were talking about visiting our niece and her husband a couple states away. When we're in their town we always stay with them and not my sister and her husband. We can't relate to those old people. My 24 year old is my best friend and we do as much as we can together, though he recently moved a few hours away. All my (very athletic) kids assume I can do everything I could throughout their childhoods and I try my best. I married the Amazon tribal princess so, the moment I show any weakness, they'll kill me for food. Got to stay on my toes.

getting old truly sucks...things don't work the way they used to...everything aches...can't eat the crap you did when you were younger...need a organizer for your meds...BUT it still beats the alternative!

Worst thing about getting old...the things I want to bend won't and the things I don't want to bend do...oh well, beats the heck out of the alternative.

I'm 43 and complain all the time.
I think that makes me older than you Chad, but my one and only is two and half. I have to act young to keep up with her. She goes to bed to get some rest, I go to bed to recover.

I do understand the old saying,"Youth is wasted on the young."

Gotta agree with the kid thing. At almost 'fitty-fo' my girls are only 17 and 13. Running with them has keep me young at heart even if the chassis doesn't always keep up. Without them around I probably would have been a grease spot.

I know, Keith.

I hit the gym every day, 45 minutes of cardio exercise three times a week with my heart rate at 150 for 20 of those minutes.
My resting heart rate is below 50.

My bench press working (not maximum) weight is 250 lbs.
Dead lift 300.
Squat is 400.

My youngest is 23.

I'm 56.
And younger than guys 20+ years my junior.

FIFTY???!!!

Al, you friggin' puppy, you! You're just comin' into your own at fifty!!!

I guess you haven't heard the latest, eh?! Word now is that American men in their 80s say they've never been happier in their lives!

(...of course with the average life expectancy for this demographic being 75.6 years, why wouldn't those old farts be happy, eh?!...they've beat the odds!!!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Right there with you at 55. I still teach TKD which is my saving grace as I've broken frickin' everything mountain biking. Stay flexible and you'll live...well, long enough.

Exactly, I have had some lingering muscle/nerve pain. Which at times was pretty intense, but then I'm a weanie . I returned to physical therapy 3 weeks ago. And the regime I am following is basic stretching targeting the legs & pelvis. Does it work?? All I know is I'm not looking for the Ibuprofen anymore.
